Notes for some specific questions:

1 – Ans: A. Ampere is an SI base unit and coulomb is a derived unit

2 – Ans: B. 2000 microvolts = 2000 x 10-6V = 2x10-3V = 2mV

  2. hi, please explain ques 33, i dont get it what is meant by 'Resistance of ammeter has no effect because voltmeter is connected to measure potential difference (p.d.) across only the fixed resistor.'

    1. Current flows from the positive terminal of the supply. So, as can be seen from the circuit, the current would pass through the ammeter first.

Also, it can be seen that the ammeter is connected in SERIES with the parallel combination of the voltmeter and the resistor.

For components in series, the same current flows. Therefore, the resistance of the ammeter is not necessary in the calculation.
